1995
This striking black and white etching by Yayoi Kusama presents a dense, all over field of white circular forms of varying sizes against a deep black ground. The relentless repetition of concentric rings and open circles creates a hypnotic, infinite visual field that is central to Kusama's lifelong obsession with obliteration and cosmic infinity. Hand signed in pencil in the lower right of the image, this work is edition YKP212 to 019 of 50 plus 8 artist proofs and was obtained directly from the artist's studio. A rare opportunity to acquire a key example of Kusama's printmaking practice from the mid-1990s.
