Trois études pour un autoportrait (Three Studies for a Self-Portrait)
A haunting triptych of self-portraits by Francis Bacon, rendered in his characteristically visceral and distorted style, in which the human face is simultaneously fragmented and laid bare. The three panels capture Bacon's unflinching examination of his own likeness, dissolving the boundaries between flesh and psychological unease. Published by Michel Archimbaud for the Librairie Séguier in Paris, this signed and numbered lithograph (46/60) represents a rare and intimate document of one of the twentieth century's most compelling artistic visions.
