Created from carefully arranged fragments of discarded junk and debris, Vik Muniz reconstructs a detailed anatomical illustration reminiscent of Francesco Bertinatti's classical medical drawings. The resulting composition is then photographed and presented as a chromogenic print, transforming cast-off materials into a striking study of the human form. Housed in the artist's own frame, the work challenges perceptions of value and beauty by revealing how meaning can be constructed from the overlooked and discarded.
