Frammenti Veneziani (I-IIIIIIIIII) is a rare collaborative edition by two of the most influential conceptual artists of the twentieth century, Joseph Beuys and James Lee Byars, produced in a limited run of fifty and published by Edizioni Factotum-Art in Verona. The work comprises ten sheets, five bearing Beuys's full signature and five signed with Byars's characteristic initials, each numbered 30/50 in pencil on the reverse, with an additional ten examples numbered in Roman numerals. The loose sheets are presented as issued within a striking black painted wooden portfolio bearing the printed title, the vessel itself functioning as an integral element of the artwork's conceptual and aesthetic identity.
