Residual Heat
A large-scale figurative painting by Jeffrey Heiman dominated by a warm, monochromatic palette of deep sienna, ochre, and burnt orange. The composition depicts three reclining nude figures across rumpled bedding and upholstered furniture, evoking intimacy, vulnerability, and post-coital languor. The work is notable for its fluid, gestural brushwork and the way figures dissolve into and emerge from the surrounding warmth of drapery. Exhibited as the title work of Heiman's solo show 'Residual Heat' at Freight+Volume gallery, Tribeca, New York.
