This luminous mixed media work on paper draws the viewer into an atmosphere of suspended sensation, where color and gesture dissolve the boundary between landscape and abstraction. Warm coral and deep crimson sweep across the upper register in layered, diagonal strokes, evoking the turbulence of weather or the charged quality of light just before a storm breaks. Below, cooler tones of teal, cerulean, and pale yellow settle into a more contemplative register, as if the eye has descended from sky into water or earth. Graphite lines arc across the composition in loose elliptical curves, suggesting both the geometry of horizon and the organic rhythms of natural form.
