This cylindrical sculpture by Roni Horn is composed of solid cast glass in a translucent lavender purple, with a polished reflective top surface that mirrors its surroundings. The exterior reveals subtle internal striations typical of the casting process, lending the work a dense, luminous material presence. Horn is celebrated for her glass works that probe perception, identity, and the indeterminate nature of objects. This example entered the Los Angeles County Museum of Art collection in 2014 as a gift from the Collectors Committee with additional support from Steve Tisch.
