In this work, Vik Muniz recreates Caravaggio's iconic *Amor Vincit Omnia* using cut-out magazine images and printed text assembled into a collage, then photographed as a chromogenic print. The layered fragments of media and language challenge the viewer to decode the image as both a visual and intellectual puzzle, consistent with Muniz's ongoing exploration of representation and perception. By reconstructing an art historical masterpiece through the detritus of contemporary print culture, Muniz invites reflection on how meaning is constructed and mediated through images.
