To R.M. Rilke
2010
A matte black bronze sculpture depicting a seated human figure composed entirely of interlocking typographic letters and characters, forming a dense, open-lattice silhouette. The figure appears contemplative, referencing the poet Rainer Maria Rilke through Plensa's signature visual language of language-as-body. Edition 1/8, hand-signed and numbered P-1/8 by the artist, with two Certificates of Authenticity included. The work comes from a private collection in Madrid and is in perfect condition.
