Male Nude Study (two works)
This diptych comprises two gelatin silver prints presenting studies of the male form in intimate domestic settings. The left panel depicts a reclining figure on an elevated surface, captured from above in a compositional arrangement that emphasizes the body's sculptural qualities and geometric relationship to the architectural frame. The right panel shows a figure in repose on what appears to be a bed, surrounded by domestic furnishings and shelving, creating a narrative of private vulnerability. Both photographs demonstrate the photographer's sophisticated understanding of light, shadow, and the human form as subject matter, reflecting mid twentieth century modernist approaches to figuration and the interior as site of artistic exploration.
