The Chronicles of San Francisco, Triptych, Work in progress, USA
2018
A monumental triptych by the French street artist JR, depicting a sweeping black-and-white panorama of San Francisco's diverse population — protesters, performers, readers, and passersby — composited into a dense, cinematic collage evoking the full spectrum of urban life. Each of the three horizontal panels measures 43 × 200 × 7 cm, assembling into a combined installation width of 600 cm. The work is a unique piece (not an edition), presented in black metal frames with plexiglass. Currently located in Los Angeles, USA, with shipping available by request through Galerie Perrotin.
