Tanaami is a graphic designer, illustrator, and painter known for his psychedelic Pop Art works that combine traditional Japanese imagery with American pop culture, erotica, and wartime trauma. His hallucinatory paintings and animations feature repeating motifs of goldfish, skulls, and female figures in vibrant, collaged compositions. His work has been exhibited at major institutions including the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo and internationally.
