Vino FIU; Aus dem Eurasienstab; and Earth Telephone;
Three works by the influential German Fluxus artist Joseph Beuys, whose practice consistently blurred the boundaries between everyday objects and art. The grouping includes a bottle of Rosé wine, a screenprint on newsprint, and a vibrant screenprint in colours on felt board, materials that reflect Beuys' signature use of humble, organic, and industrially produced substances as vehicles for social and political meaning. Together, these works embody Beuys' expansive concept of "social sculpture," in which art extends beyond traditional media to encompass the full range of human activity and material culture.
