I-S LXX a
A masterful example of Albers' lifelong investigation into color interaction and perception, this screenprint presents geometric forms rendered in carefully calibrated hues that seem to shift and vibrate against one another. Executed on German Etching paper with the precision characteristic of the screenprint medium, the work reflects Albers' systematic exploration of how colors influence and transform one another when placed in close proximity. The slightly irregular trimming at the left sheet edge adds a subtle handmade quality to an otherwise rigorously controlled composition.
