I See What You Mean
2005
Towering 40 feet above the Denver street, this monumental blue resin sculpture presents an abstract, organic form that appears to peer into the urban landscape below. Cast in deep cobalt blue concrete resin, the work suggests a massive creature or torso bending forward with curiosity, creating a playful dialogue between the architectural scale of the surrounding buildings and the pedestrian experience at street level. Installed in 2005 at the Colorado Convention Center, the sculpture has become an iconic public landmark, inviting viewers to discover hidden perspectives and meanings through its dynamic curves and commanding presence. The piece exemplifies contemporary public art's capacity to humanize urban spaces while maintaining an enigmatic, contemplative character. Photo by Emmanuel Appiah on Unsplash
