61 Framed Works
Barry McGee's *61 Framed Works* is a sprawling, densely packed installation of mixed-media panels that reflects the artist's roots in San Francisco's graffiti and street art culture. The collection brings together an eclectic range of materials — including acrylic paint, spray paint, screenprint, collage, and photography — unified within an assortment of found frames that reinforce McGee's aesthetic of repurposing the overlooked and discarded. Figures with downcast expressions, abstract mark-making, and raw typographic elements combine to create a chaotic yet deliberately orchestrated visual cacophony that blurs the boundaries between fine art and urban vernacular.
