Klein was a key figure in the Nouveau Réalisme movement alongside Arman and similarly worked with limited edition multiples and print series that explored objects and materiality in conceptually driven ways, with strong ties to the Parisian avant garde scene.

As a fellow Nouveau Réaliste, César shared Arman's fascination with transforming everyday objects into art, and also produced limited edition prints and multiples that translated sculptural and object based concepts into graphic form.

Spoerri worked closely within the same Nouveau Réalisme circle as Arman and created print editions and multiples that similarly elevated mundane objects including musical and domestic items into carefully editioned fine art works published through European galleries.
