Peter Sedgley

Peter Sedgley is a British abstract artist born in 1930, known for his pioneering work in Op Art and kinetic art, particularly his exploration of colour, light, and optical phenomena. His practice is closely associated with concentric circle compositions and luminescent target paintings that create dynamic visual experiences through the interaction of colour and form. Sedgley has been a significant figure in the European Op Art movement and co-founded the SPACE studios initiative in London, which provided affordable workspace for artists.
