Franco Albini

Franco Albini (1905, 1977) was a pioneering Italian architect and designer whose work exemplified the rationalist movement in Italian design. Known for his rigorous, intellectual approach, Albini created iconic furniture pieces such as the Luisa chair and the Margherita rattan chair, as well as significant architectural works including the La Rinascente department store in Rome. His designs are celebrated for their structural clarity, material honesty, and seamless integration of art, architecture, and industrial design.
