Etienne Terrus

Étienne Joseph Mathieu Terrus was a French painter from Roussillon, known for his landscape paintings of the Catalan region of southern France. He was a close friend of Henri Matisse and is considered an important figure in the early modern art scene of the Mediterranean south. His work is celebrated for its vivid depictions of the landscapes around Elne, his hometown.
