Ella Bergmann-Michel (1895, 1971) was a German avant-garde artist and filmmaker associated with the Bauhaus circle and Constructivist movements of the Weimar Republic era. She worked across painting, collage, and experimental film, creating abstract compositions that reflected her engagement with modernist principles and social progressive ideals. Her films documenting street vendors and working-class life in Frankfurt during the late 1920s and early 1930s are considered pioneering works of documentary filmmaking.
