David Annesley (born 1937) is a British sculptor associated with the New Generation of British sculptors who emerged in the 1960s, known for his colorful, abstract steel sculptures that explore form, balance, and spatial relationships. He studied at St Martin's School of Art under Anthony Caro, whose influence is evident in Annesley's use of industrial materials and non-representational forms placed directly on the ground. His work was featured in the landmark 1965 'New Generation' exhibition at the Whitechapel Gallery, cementing his place as a significant figure in postwar British sculpture.
