Cruzvillegas is a sculptor and installation artist known for his 'autoconstrucción' philosophy, creating works from found materials that reference self-built architecture in Mexico City. His Tate Modern Turbine Hall commission 'Empty Lot' planted seeds in soil from London parks. He has exhibited at documenta and major international institutions.
