A large kraft cardboard shipping box bears the markings and wear of its transit through the FedEx delivery system, with the tracking number and service details printed directly onto its surface. Beshty's work transforms the mundane commercial container into a sculptural object, highlighting the physical traces of its journey — creases, tears, and handling marks — as an integral part of the piece. The work interrogates the systems of circulation, commerce, and institutional exchange that govern the movement of art and objects through the world.
