Horse Fraud
A monumental, reflective surface commands attention in Urs Fischer's *Horse Fraud*, where silkscreen imagery is printed directly onto mirror-polished stainless steel, creating a disorienting fusion of illusion and materiality. The work's highly reflective surface absorbs and distorts the surrounding environment, implicating the viewer within the composition and blurring the boundary between artwork and reality. Underpinned by an industrial framework of foam, adhesive, and structural beams, Fischer exposes the constructed nature of the image while probing themes of deception, spectacle, and the unstable relationship between surface and depth.
