A shattered police baton, cast in luminous glass, is fragmented into 26 pieces and arranged to trace the ghostly outline of a human heart. Geers transforms an instrument of state violence and repression into something simultaneously beautiful and visceral, the cold transparency of the glass amplifying the tension between brutality and vulnerability. The work interrogates power, the body, and the fine line between protection and harm.
