Kendell Geers — Two works: (i) Demon est Deus Inversus 24, 2011; (ii) La Sainte Vierge
Kendell Geers

Two works: (i) Demon est Deus Inversus 24, 2011; (ii) La Sainte Vierge

Kendell Geers presents two works that explore the tension between the sacred and the profane through contrasting mediums. *Demon est Deus Inversus 24* (2011) employs Indian ink on Plexiglass mirror, its reflective surface implicating the viewer within Geers' destabilising inversion of divine and diabolical forces. *La Sainte Vierge* extends this dialogue through delicate watercolour on paper, subverting the devotional intimacy of the medium to interrogate notions of sanctity and transgression.

Medium
(i) indian ink on Plexiglass mirror;(ii) watercolour on paper
