Carol Bove — Innerspace Bullshit
Carol Bove

Innerspace Bullshit

A carefully orchestrated assemblage of disparate objects — books, a comic book, bronze sculpture, a Marfa rock, and ocean ephemera — arranged on wood and metal shelves to create a charged dialogue between the natural and the man-made. Bove transforms the shelf into a stage where cultural artifacts and found materials coexist in a tension that is at once intimate and philosophical. The inclusion of a mirror invites the viewer into the composition, implicating them in the work's layered meditation on knowledge, accumulation, and meaning.

Medium
14 books, comic book, letter, bronze sculpture, Marfa rock, ocean ephemera, mirror and pamphlet on wood and metal shelves
