Sopa de letras II
A grid of letters printed on a photograph is obscured and consumed by layers of ink and soot, transforming the familiar format of a word-search puzzle into something darkened and illegible. Apóstol's use of soot evokes destruction and erasure, suggesting the suppression of language and meaning beneath a residue of burning. The work interrogates the fragility of communication and collective memory within a political and cultural context.
