A conceptual photography series by Joan Fontcuberta, *Sputnik - The Odyssey of the Soyuz II* presents an elaborate fictitious narrative about a supposedly forgotten Soviet cosmonaut, blending archival-style imagery with fabricated documentation to challenge the authenticity of historical memory. The work comprises sixteen Baryta prints, three dye destruction prints, and two drawing reproductions, each element carefully constructed to mimic the visual language of official records and photographic evidence.
