Jean Dufy (1888–1964) was a French painter and brother of the more famous Raoul Dufy, known for his vibrant, joyful depictions of Parisian life, music halls, circus scenes, and landscapes. His style shares similarities with Fauvism, characterized by bright, luminous colors and a loose, spontaneous brushwork that captures the festive spirit of early 20th-century French culture. Though often overshadowed by his brother, Jean Dufy has gained recognition as a significant Post-Impressionist and Fauvist artist in his own right.
