Jean-Baptiste Huët (1745, 1811) was a French painter and engraver celebrated for his pastoral scenes, animal subjects, and decorative compositions in the Rococo and early Neoclassical traditions. He was a student of Jean-Baptiste Leprince and later became a member of the Académie Royale de Peinture et de Sculpture in 1769. Huët also gained renown as a designer for the Oberkampf textile manufactory at Jouy-en-Josas, where he created the iconic toile de Jouy patterns.
