Edmund D. Lewandowski (1914, 1998) was an American precisionist painter known for his highly detailed, geometric depictions of industrial and architectural subjects. He studied at the Layton School of Art in Milwaukee and became one of the foremost practitioners of Precisionism in the mid-twentieth century, with his work celebrated for its crisp lines and machine-age aesthetic. Lewandowski held academic positions at Florida State University and other institutions, and his paintings are held in numerous museum collections across the United States.
