Altobello Melone was an Italian Renaissance painter active in Cremona during the early sixteenth century, known for his expressive altarpieces and frescoes that blend Lombard and Venetian influences. He was a close associate of Boccaccio Boccaccino and contributed significantly to the decoration of Cremona Cathedral. His works are characterized by vivid emotional intensity, rich coloring, and a distinctive handling of drapery and portraiture.
