This work combines oil and oilstick on stitched adjoined canvases to explore themes of cultural identity and culinary tradition through its title referencing pork, oriental culture, and tea. The artist's choice to stitch multiple canvas pieces together suggests an intentional fragmentation or assemblage approach that may reflect the intersection of disparate cultural elements. The mixed medium and unconventional canvas construction create a tactile, layered surface that invites consideration of how different cultural signifiers interact and coexist within a single composition.
