This silver-gilt mounted nephrite thermometer in the manner of Fabergé from the 20th century features refined craftsmanship with beaded borders and laurel wreath decorations. Though bearing spurious Fabergé marks, it represents the luxury decorative arts tradition of Imperial Russian design.

- rectangular, the thermometer panel in centigrade and réaumur scale within a ribbon-tied beaded border, the nephrite body applied with ribbon-tied laurel wreaths flanked by palmette sprays, surmounted by a ribbon crest, all within a reeded border, the wooden reverse mounted with a silver scroll strut and suspension loop, marked on lower edge, strut and suspension loop with spurious marks for Fabergé and Viktor Aarne, 88 standard
