LIGHT+CHANGE Installation View 01

2022

This large scale light installation consists of twelve vertical light panels arranged in a linear sequence across a gallery wall, each programmed with shifting color choreography that transforms throughout the day and across exhibition duration. The rectangular LED elements emit continuously evolving chromatic sequences, casting dynamic colored light onto the polished wooden floor and surrounding architecture in patterns that mirror and amplify the work's temporal dimension. Installed at eye level within the modernist interior of Palm Springs Art Museum, the piece activates its architectural context through reflection and luminosity, creating an immersive field of colored light that engages the viewer's perception of color, time, and spatial presence. The work exemplifies a practice centered on how light and programmed color animation can fundamentally alter our experience of place and moment.

Location
Palm Springs Art Museum, Palm Springs, CA
