"Slightly Similar" by Pedro Cabrita Reis is an electric installation composed of fluorescent lamps painted with white acrylic, mounted on aluminum and wood structures. The work explores the tension between uniformity and subtle difference, as the painted surfaces simultaneously obscure and diffuse the lamps' industrial light. Through this interplay of materials and illumination, Reis transforms functional objects into a meditative inquiry into repetition, identity, and quiet variation.
