This work presents a dynamic composition of vertical black strokes on a warm tan ground, intersected by diagonal lines that create visual movement and depth. The parallel lines suggest both order and disruption, while the overlapping diagonal elements introduce spatial complexity and suggest three dimensional form. The precise geometric arrangement demonstrates the artist's exploration of color relationships and optical perception through minimal means. Created in gouache, the work exemplifies the reductive abstraction and structured experimentation characteristic of Brazilian constructivist art from the mid twentieth century.
