Crowds: two prints
Donald Baechler's *Crowds* is a pair of screenprints featuring the artist's signature motif of simplified, anonymous human figures rendered in his characteristically naive and expressive style. One impression is designated as the printer's proof (PP) and the other as the bon à tirer (BAT), the reference print used to guide the edition of 35, both signed and inscribed in pencil. Published by AC & T Corporation, Tokyo, in 1990, these proofs represent the definitive standard against which the full edition was measured, making them particularly significant impressions within the print's history.
