A fragment of monumental ambition, this work by Danh Vo forms part of his larger project recreating the Statue of Liberty's copper skin in full scale, dispersed as individual pieces across the world. The element exists as both an autonomous sculptural object and a fragment of an incomplete whole, inviting reflection on national mythology, freedom, and the complex legacy of American ideals.
