Hagar (Luft)
Ayan Farah's *Hagar (Luft)* is a delicate yet evocative work in which alcohol, vinegar, and fabric dye are applied to cotton silk, allowing the materials to interact and bleed organically across the surface. The process surrenders a degree of control to the chemistry of the mediums, resulting in soft, atmospheric washes of color that feel simultaneously weightless and deeply saturated. Named for the biblical and Quranic figure Hagar, the work carries an undercurrent of displacement and endurance, as if the fabric itself holds the trace of a body in motion through air.
