A conceptual work by Italian Arte Povera artist Alighiero Boetti, *La Persona e Il Personaggio* explores the tension between identity and its constructed representation, a recurring preoccupation throughout his practice. Boetti, who famously doubled his own name to "Alighiero e Boetti," was consistently drawn to the philosophical interplay between the self and the persona it projects or performs.
