In *Dis' Uh So She A Shun* (2021), Noel W. Anderson constructs a visceral meditation on identity and displacement through the pairing of a taxidermy chick and a magenta mirror set against bleach and dye-worked cotton tapestry. The distressed and stretched textile bears the marks of chemical intervention, its surface scarred and transformed much like the bodies and histories it evokes. Split across two parts, the work fractures the notion of association itself, interrogating how identity is reflected, preserved, and violently altered.
