Shikanosuke Yagaki (1898, 1978) was a Japanese Western-style oil painter who studied under prominent Meiji and Taisho era masters and became known for his landscapes and figurative works rendered in a style bridging Western impressionism with Japanese sensibility. He was active in the Japanese art exhibition circuit, participating in official government-sponsored Bunten and Nitten exhibitions throughout his career. His works have appeared in Japanese auction houses and reflect the broader movement of Yōga (Western-style painting) that flourished in 20th-century Japan.
