Roxy Paine

Roxy Paine (born 1966) is an American artist best known for his large-scale stainless steel tree sculptures called 'Dendroid' series, which replicate the branching structures of trees with meticulous precision. His multidisciplinary practice spans sculpture, installation, and painting, often exploring the intersection of nature and technology, the artificial and the organic. Paine is also recognized for his SCUMAK machines, automated sculptures that produce polyethylene forms, and his elaborately hand-crafted depictions of psychedelic mushrooms and poppy fields.
