Rob and Nick Carter are a British artistic duo, brothers, who have worked collaboratively since the 1990s, exploring the intersections of painting, photography, digital technology, and time-based media. Their practice is perhaps best known for their 'Transforming' series, in which they employ slow-moving digital screens to present paintings that appear static but subtly evolve over extended periods, blurring the boundaries between painting and moving image. They are also recognized for their large-scale photographic works and their investigations into the nature of light, color, and perception.
