Raymond Parker was a painter who created Color Field works featuring biomorphic shapes floating on expansive grounds, bridging Abstract Expressionism and Color Field painting. He taught at Hunter College and influenced a generation of New York painters. His work is held in the Whitney Museum, the Guggenheim, and major American collections.
