Strider was a painter and sculptor who created three-dimensional Pop Art paintings featuring fragmented female body parts that extended from the canvas surface. Her provocative works challenged objectification while employing its visual vocabulary, and she was one of the few women artists in the male-dominated Pop Art circle. Her work has been featured in exhibitions at the Whitney Museum and is experiencing renewed critical attention.
