Marco Marchetti, known as Marco da Faenza, was an Italian Mannerist painter and decorative artist active in the sixteenth century, born in Faenza around 1528, 1530. He was a prolific collaborator and follower of Giorgio Vasari, contributing extensively to the decorative fresco programs in the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence under Vasari's direction. He was also renowned for his grotesque decorations and ornamental designs, which were widely disseminated through prints and influenced decorative arts across Europe.
